Antioxidants are one of those healthy buzzwords that you’ve probably heard before, but may not fully understand what it means. So, what are antioxidants?
Antioxidants are compounds found in plant-based foods such as fruits, vegetables, coffee, tea, wine and chocolate. Antioxidants help prevent or stop cell damage.
Fruit and vegetables provide an excellent source of polyphenol antioxidants. Cranberries are one of the top antioxidant-rich foods, containing more than other superfoods – including pears, grapes, apples and strawberries.
Each 250ml glass of Ocean Spray® Cranberry Classic™ and Light Cranberry Classic™ fruit drinks contains the juice from 55 cranberries, with 125mg of polyphenol antioxidants, Similarly, a 40g serve of Craisins® Original and Craisins® 50% Less Sugar Dried Cranberries contain 125mg of polyphenol antioxidants.
